A saga das meias verdes continua…Fomos comprar a lã pra termina-las ontem e depois fomos a uma reunião do grupo de tricot aqui.
É a primeira vez que eu participo de algo assim e gostei muito da experiência; mas voltando ao assunto…
Resolvi começar o segundo pé da meia, já que é um projeto que não ocupa muito espaço. É aqui que as coisas começaram a dar errado. Coloquei o livro de referência errado na bolsa, qndo descobri, tentei tricotar de cabeça, no fim da primeira repetição do padrão, descobri um erro e tive que desmanchar. Ao final da segunda repetição, descobri que estava fazendo alguma coisa errada. Nessa altura, a reunião terminou.
Qndo voltamos pra casa, resolvi começar novamente, desmanchei tudo, comecei de novo e…o cano ficou mais longo que o da outra meia :P. Desmanchei o excesso e comecei o calcanhar. Por algum motivo, qndo terminei o calcanhar tinha mais pontos a espera de um lado que do outro. Fazer o que? Desmanchei o calcanhar e refiz.
Eu achei que daria tempo de terminar o segundo pé e tirar uma foto do par, mas com os trabalhos domésticos, acho que vai ficar pra um próximo post.
Ontem eu recebi o convite para postar no blog da Monkey Socks Swap, agora é esperar pra descobrir quem será minha parceira. Comecei a tricotar um macaco, fiz dois marcadores com macaquinhos e 4 com sapinhos. Quero terminar estas benditas meias pra poder trabalhar nas outras idéias.
The saga of the green socks continues…Yesterday we bought the yarn I needed to finish the pair and then we went to a local knitting group’s meeting.
It was the first time I went to such a meeting and liked alot; anyway back to the subject…
I decided to start knitting the second sock, because it’s a small project to carry around. And then things started to go wrong. I put the wrong reference book in my tote, when I found out, I decided to try to knit it from memory, by the end of the first repetition of the pattern, I found a mistake and had to frog some of it. When I got to the end of the second repetition, I was sure I was doing something wrong. By that time the meeting was over.
When we got back home, I decided to start from the beginning again, so I frogged all I had done at the meeting, started again and things were going so well I did the leg longer than the other sock :P. Frogged the excess rows and started the heel. For some odd reason, when I finished the short rows there were still stitches on hold in one of the needles. I frogged the heel and started over, once again. (DH said it must be gremlins)
I thought I’d manage to finish and take pics, but there are household tasks in the way, so I’ll probably post photos in another entry. Yesterday I got my invitation to post to the Monkey Sock Swap, now I just have to find out who is going to be my partner. I started to knit a monkey, did two monkey stitch markers and 4 little frogs (stitch markers also). I so want to finish these socks so I can work on the many other projects I have in mind.
